Violence against women and girls
Society must not accept violence against women. This situation is even worse for people who have emigrated to a foreign country and experience forms of violence there.
You may feel even more vulnerable and helpless. It is therefore important to know that there are organizations in Germany that provide assistance in such cases. This is done multilingual, including in English.

The helpline - offer at a glance
The "Violence against Women" helpline was launched in March 2013 and is the first 24-hour counseling service for Germany, offering confidential and free help and support on 08000 116 016 and via online counseling - 365 days a year, around the Clock, anonymous, multilingual and barrier-free.
Dialog e.V.
The specialist advice center Dialog eV is a registered non-profit association in theWolfsburg & Gifhorn region, who works independently of both political parties and denominations. In addition to party support for those affected, his work focuses on prevention, public relations and further training on the subject of domestic violence, sexualised violence and stalking.
Stronger than violence
"Stronger than violence" is a nationwide initiative of the Federal Ministry for Family, Seniors, Women and Youth (BMFSFJ). Here you can find out more about the goals, partner organizations and action.
Women's shelters
Every major city in Germany has a so-called women's refuge. You can even get accommodation there if you want / have to leave your home. To find out more about this service, go to the following links:
